Timbers Effort Lacking Again In Loss To Vancouver

By STEVEN VAUGHAN, 750 THE GAME

The Portland Timbers struggled again in a loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps up in Canada. The Timbers had zero shots on goal, only had one corner kick, and were lacking effort throughout the game. The one positive for the Timbers was goalie, Aljaz Ivacic. The Whitecaps had eight shots on goal and had 12 corner kicks but only came away with one goal. With the loss the Timbers fall to 1-3-2 on the season and have only scored six goals in six goals.

It seems as if the injuries are catching up to the Timbers and they can’t get a good rhythm going. But at some point the Timbers are going to have to get some decisions in a match if they want to continue the success the Timbers have had in the past.

The Timbers next match is the rivalry matchup against the Seattle Sounders back at Providence Park. Coverage will start right here on 750 The Game with pregame at 6:30 and first kick at 7:30.
