Timbers Acquiring First-Round Pick in MLS SuperDraft from LA Galaxy in Exchange for Jorge Villafaña
The Portland Timbers announced on Tuesday morning that they will be acquiring the LA Galaxy’s natural first round pick (8th overall) in exchange for defender Jorge Villafaña and the Timbers’ natural first round pick (16th overall) in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft.
LA Galaxy have acquired Jorge Villafaña as part of a deal for a first-round pick in the 2021 MLS Super Draft.

The 31-year-old Villafaña scored four goals and 19 assists in 127 appearances across all competitions with the Timbers (2014-15, 2018-20). In five seasons with the club, Villafaña helped Portland win the 2015 MLS Cup and the MLS is Back Tournament in 2020.
