Timbers 2021 Preseason Schedule Released

The Portland Timbers announced their preseason schedule on Wednesday, including four matches in the 2021 Visit Tucson Sun Cup.

First, the Timbers travel to Tucson on March 15. All Arizona games will be at the Kino Sports Complex.

Then, Portland has their first two games of the 2021 Visit Tucson Sun Cup the next day. The Timbers will face the Colorado Rapids and Phoenix Rising FC on March 16.

Next, the Timbers play Phoenix again on March 20. Finally, Portland battles Sporting Kansas City on March 24 to close out their time in Tucson.

The Timbers are scheduled to travel back to Portland after their match with KC.

The last preseason game is set for March 30, a rivalry bout with the Seattle Sounders FC at Starfire Sports in Tukwila, Washington.

Then, Portland will begin its Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League matches.

• April 6 (3 p.m.) – first leg of Round of 16 in Honduras – vs. CD Marathón (at Estadio Olimpico Metropolitano)
• April 13 (5 p.m.) – second leg of Round of 16 in Portland – vs. Marathón (at Providence Park)

Major League Soccer will release more details about the 2021 regular season “in the coming weeks.”
