The Seahawks Have Intriguing Options With Two 1st-Round Picks.

By STEVEN VAUGHAN, 750 THE GAME

The Seahawks surprised everyone a season ago by making the playoffs.

Are they going to surprise again in the draft?

Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times joined the Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano and laid out all the options.

“They said at the end of the year that it was obvious. They needed to improve the defense,” Condotta said. “That was the big issue last year, especially the defensive front seven. The secondary they feel like will be fine with Jamal Adams coming back healthy and with the cornerback situation, Tariq Woolen showing what he can do last season and all that, so you know the front seven needs some attention.”

The 12s are one of the best fanbases in all of the NFL. 750 The Game’s, Judah Newby, is one of them. Judah wants the Seahawks to get quarterback Anthony Richardson.

Canzano asked Condotta what he thinks the Seattle fan base wants with the #5 overall pick.

“I think if Will Anderson were to fall there [he’d be the pick]. Obviously Jalen Carter is a real wild card. A guy that people were saying could be the first overall pick. Obviously, some things have happened to him in the past few months to him so who knows exactly where he is going to fall in the draft.”

As for a QB at 5?

“I think some people are enamored by the idea of quarterback. Now again, it’s who you get. But if for some reason something weird happened and for whatever reason you know there’s a quarterback there that they, you know, depending on how they think of Anthony Richardson or CJ Stroud for some reason fell there. You know how tempted they would be to do that. Quarterbacks are always very exciting.”

Mel Kiper Jr, in his latest mock draft has the Seahawks trading back into the first round and drafting Tennessee quarterback, Hendon Hooker. The Seahawks have a lot of options.
