Tez Johnson, Bo Nix’s Adopted Brother, Heading To Oregon

Coming off of a Holiday Bowl win over North Carolina, the Ducks are adding more to the program.  And this one is family.  Tez Johnson, a 5 foot 10 inch junior reciever, has committed to Oregon after having a successful career at Troy.  But what makes this transfer very interesting is Johnson is the brother of Bo Nix.  Johnson was adopted as a child and grew up with Nix playing high school football with him at Pinson Valley High School in Alabama in 2018 when Johnson had 106 catches for 1,457 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior en route to all-state honors that year with Nix as his quarterback.

This past season at Troy, Johnson had 56 catches, 863 yards and 4 touchdowns for the Trojans.  In Troy’s bowl win over UTSA, Johnson threw a pass that was incomplete but did have 4 catches for 40 yards in the 18-12 win over the Roadrunners.
