Brown apparently felt underappreciated in Pittsburgh, and “blew up” at a teammate during the course of practice last week. Brown then sat out the Steelers must-win Week 17 game at home against the Cincinnati Bengals. Pittsburgh won the game 17-14, but were eliminated from playoff contention with Baltimore’s win over Cleveland.
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said he was unaware of any dissension between Brown and himself or the coaching staff.
“If there was a blowup or something, I sure as heck didn’t see it,” Roethlisberger said Tuesday during his weekly radio appearance with 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh.
