Stanford Coaching Candidates Have Emerged

Stanford Football didn’t have to worry about a new head coach for a long time, because of all the success of David Shaw.  But after Shaw announced his resignation after the final game of the year.  Stanford has been having numerous names pop up at candidates, but ESPN’s Pete Thamel and The Athletic’s Stewart Mandel, are reporting that former Cowboys head coach, Jason Garrett, and Sacramento State head coach, Troy Taylor, have emerged as Stanford’s top targets.

Garrett was the coach of the Cowboys from 2010-2019 and had a 85-67 record while in Dallas.  And Taylor is currently the coach of the 12-0 Hornets who are taking on Incarnate Word this Saturday in the Quarterfinals of the FCS Championship.
