Simons scores team-high 22 points as Blazers beat Maccabi Haifa 104-68
Anfernee Simons started, played thirty minutes, and scored a team-high 22 points as the Trail Blazers cruised past Maccabi Haifa in exhibition action Thursday night, 104-68.
Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum both sat out for rest. The Blazers played fourteen players in the win. Zach Collins went 7-for-14 from the floor for 16 points, and Gary Trent Jr. came off the bench to score 10 points as the third Blazer to reach double-figured.
Portland had a 24-19 lead after the first quarter and led 56-39 at halftime. After a back and forth third quarter, the home team pulled away outscoring the visitors 25-4 in the final quarter for the blowout win.
The Trail Blazers are back in preseason action Saturday night hosting the Phoenix Suns at Moda Center.
