Jay Bruce hit a grand slam in the top of the 1st inning to set the tone for Seattle’s blowout this afternoon. The Mariners had twelve hits, three home runs, and scored ten runs as they finally break their six game losing streak with a 10-0 blowout win over Cleveland this afternoon.

Starting pitcher Eric Swanson had a superb outing today, going six innings, allowing only one hit with three strikeouts. Swanson did have a no hitter through 5 and 2/3 innings. At that point, Seattle was already up 10-0 and the game was essentially over.

Omar Narvaez went 3-3 on the day with a double, Edwin Encarncaion hit a home run in his 2nd straight game, and Braden Bishop, making his MLB debut went 2-4 with two RBIs.

The Mariners are now 19-17 on the year, and up next they travel to the Bronx for a three game series with the New York Yankees.
