Seattle Seahawks Trade O-Lineman, 7th Round Pick for Bengals DE Carlos Dunlap

(UPDATE 1:45 p.m.) The Bengals officially confirmed the trade.

(ORIGINAL 10: 25 a.m.) The NFL trade deadline isn’t until election day (Nov. 3), but the Seahawks are already buyers.

Cincinnati Bengals all-time sack leader Carlos Dunlap is coming to the Pacific Northwest. Seattle sends OL B.J. Finney and a seventh-round pick in 2021 back to Cincy, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The former 2010 second-round pick is 12th among active players with 82.5 career sacks. He also has 103 career tackles for loss.

Dunlap immediately helps the Seattle defense, which has given up the most yards of any team in NFL history through six games. The Seahawks only have nine sacks so far in 2020.

If nothing else, Dunlap will require attention from other teams to allow his teammates a chance to wreak havoc.

The relationship between Cincinnati and Dunlap grew unsalvageable to the point where the team asked Dunlap to stop coming to the facility until they could work out a trade.
