Sacramento’s Iman Shumpert tried to confront Jusuf Nurkic in Blazers lockeroom
Per reports, Sacramento Kings guard Iman Shumpert tried to enter the Portland Trail Blazers locker room to confront Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic following Monday night’s 115-107 Kings’ victory.
Shumpert was unhappy with the nature of the screens Nurkic set during the contest.
Shumpert then bumped into Blazers coach Terry Stotts, drawing ire from Stotts and leading to a technical foul.
The report from the Associated Press said Shumpert was stopped by arena security prior to entering the opponent locker room.

In Shumpert’s own words, “Some stuff needed to be between me and him, a conversation between two men. Some stuff happened out there that we needed to have a conversation about. That’s it.”
Nurkic shot back at Shumpert, saying “I’m not going to worry about it. He’s going into retirement soon. I’m not going to worry about a guy who’s going into retirement soon.”
Shumpert apologized on twitter following the incident.
I apologize to the fans if I made a scene. Wasn’t my intention but this 2019 stuff is all about a “story”. Don’t let that distract you from this young Scores ball club getting a great victory against a tested Blazers team #theScoresisHERE #purpletalk
