Reports: Philadelphia 76ers Want Daryl Morey to run Operations

From small ball to tall ball, Daryl Morey is heading to the City of Brotherly Love.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news, while The Athletic’s Shams Charania expanded on it.
A deal is expected to be finalized in the next few days, and Sixers GM Elton Brand is expected to remain in his current position, sources said. https://t.co/fHb5Mds9yG

The 76ers have been fans of Morey’s for awhile. They tried to lure him away from the Rockets a few years ago, but Morey turned that interest into an extension in Houston.
Now, Philly gets the guy they want, and Morey finds a new gig in the NBA.
Morey famously tried to counter the Golden State Warriors small ball with his own small ball in Houston. However, it never led to a championship.
The Rockets starting center, after trading away Clint Capela, was PJ Tucker at 6-foot-5.
In Philly, the situation is completely different. Morey will now navigate a roster full of tall players. Joel Embiid (7-feet), Ben Simmons (6-foot-10), Al Horford (6-foot-9) and Tobias Harris (6-foot-8) represent one of the tallest rosters from top to bottom.
Will “The Process” get back on track? We’ll have to just wait and see.
