Reports: Boise State Brass Heading to Eugene for Meeting with Ducks DC Avalos
A couple reports place Boise State officials in Bozeman, MT and then Eugene.
A private plane flew this morning from Boise to Bozeman, MT, where Montana State is (Jeff Choate).
That same plane is scheduled to fly directly this afternoon to Eugene, Oregon, where the University of Oregon is (Andy Avalos).

Rains, a Boise State beat writer for the Idaho Press, also reports BSU held “virtual interviews” with candidates on Tuesday.
Bozeman Daily Chronicle’s Sports Editor Colton Pool tweeted a photo of new Boise State athletic director Jeremiah Dickey in Bozeman to reportedly meet with Montana State head coach Jeff Choate.
Choate is a former BSU assistant, who has led the Bobcats since 2016.
Dickey, among others from Boise State, were just getting ready to get on a flight. Choate was there speaking to them as well. pic.twitter.com/sbzheKDNnx

Flightaware.com seemingly confirms the plane (same info from Rains photo at the top) landed in Eugene at 12:34 p.m. PT.
Andy Avalos spent his playing career at Boise State from 2001-05, and then he coached the Broncos from 2012-18 in several capacities.
From 2012-13 he was the DL coach, then 2014-15 he was the linebackers coach. Finally, he was promoted to defensive coordinator and LB coach from 2016-18 before taking the Oregon DC job in 2019.
Avalos is an obvious candidate to replace Brian Harsin, who just left Boise State to coach Auburn last month.
