Report: Oregon Adds Boston College Graduate Transfer QB, Anthony Brown

Per Matt Prehm of 247Sports, graduate transfer QB Anthony Brown has chosen Oregon.

Brown was a three-year starter at Boston College, and will be heading to Eugene for his final year of eligibility. According to sources, Brown made an unofficial visit to the school in March, and had Oregon on his shortlist of schools he was looking to transfer to.

Although he was a three-year starter with BC, injuries set him back. Most notably he suffered a knee injury during the 2019 season, ruling him out after just six games.

The Ducks will now be adding another quarterback to their open competition to replace Justin Herbert. Anthony Brown will be competing with redshirt sophomore Tyler Shough, redshirt freshman Cale Millen, true freshmen Jay Butterfield and Robby Ashford, plus walk-on Bradley Yaffee for the starting position in 2020.
