Report: Former Duck, Ex-Seahawk Dion Jordan to Sign with 49ers

Former No. 3 overall pick Dion Jordan is staying in the bay, but he’s switching teams, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Jordan will team up with Nick Bosa, Dee Ford and fellow former Duck Arik Armstead on the 49ers dominant defensive line. He won’t be able to fully replace another former Duck, DeForest Buckner, who was traded to Indy before the 2020 NFL draft, but Jordan will get a chance to reinvigorate his career.

Jordan has only played in 50 games (four starts) in five seasons. Also, he hasn’t played in all 16 games of a single season since his rookie year with Miami in 2013. He’s collected 91 total tackles (11 for loss), 10.5 sacks and 20 quarterback hits in his career.
