Predictions: No. 11 Oregon State Beavers Vs. No. 5 Washington Huskies

By 750 THE GAME STAFF,

Each week our staff at 750 The Game and fellow Pac-12 experts predict the score of every Oregon State Beavers game. This week the Oregon State Beavers (8-2) are hosting the No. 5 Washington Huskies (10-0). The Vegas line has Oregon State -2 1/2.

John Canzano:

Oregon State will run the ball effectively and control the line of scrimmage. But Penix Jr. is going to make some haymaker throws. The Beavers will need to endure those big plays to stay in this game.

Home favorites are 86-7 in the Pac-12 since the start of the 2022 season. The Beavers are 10-0 in that span when favored and playing at home. This is the last “Pac-12” game as we know it at Reser Stadium. It will be a standing-room-only crowd. Isn’t it the most Pac-12 thing ever that OSU would win?

Jon Wilner:

The tactics are straightforward. The Beavers will rely on their running game to control the clock and wear down UW’s defense, while Michael Penix Jr. and the Huskies’ passing attack soften up the OSU defense, opening up the running lanes.

Pick: Washington

T.J. Mathewson:

The Beavers are 16-1 in their last 17 home games in the last three seasons and winners of 9 in a row in Reser Stadium. Why should that stop now? The energy at Reser Stadium on Saturday will be unique, emotional, and fully charged. I expect the Beavers to come out at full speed. This is an elite team at home, and the results on Saturday will show it. Give me the Beavers in a close one.

Steven Vaughan:

The point spread started with Washington being the favorite and flipped correctly to the Beavers being favorites. Oregon State at home is a different team then on the road. Oregon State needs to run the ball effectively and I think that they can. Washington is going to have some big plays down the field with Michael Penix Jr., but it’s all about how many plays they get. I think Oregon State will have no problem driving down the field on Washington and that will be enough to get the win.

Judah Newby:

It would be no fun at all to pick against Oregon State in this spot. Get ready to bite your fingernails, Beaver Nation. It’s going to be an epic finish. Give me the Beavers defense to make a stand when it matters most at the goal line.
