Portland Timbers Sign Defender Juan David Mosquera

The Portland Timbers have had a lot of success on the field recently, and today the team made a notable off-the-field acquisition. Portland announced the acquisition of defender Juan David Mosquera from Categoría Primera A side Independiente Medellín. Mosquera will be under contract through 2026 with a club option for 2027.
The 19-year old Colombian international registered three goals and three assists in 59 appearances across all competitions with his old club. He made his professional debut at 17 years old and has also competed for the Colombian U-17 Men’s National Team.
Mosquera will occupy an international and U22 Initiative slot pending a physical, International Transfer Certificate, and P-1 visa.
