Portland Acquires Forward Trevor Ariza in Trade With Sacramento

Portland has officially punted on their off season acquisitions as they are trading away Kent Bazemore, Anthony Tolliver and two future second-round draft picks to the Sacramento Kings for  Trevor Ariza, Wenyen Gabriel and Caleb Swanigan.

Acquiring Ariza will help Portland defensively but the move is seen as a salary dump as the Blazers will save $12.5 million in salary. Portland will also create a $7.2 million and a $1.7 million trade exception as part of the deal.

It has not been the season Blazer fans were hoping for as Portland is in 11th place in the Western Conference with a 18-26 record.
