Patrick Mahomes Joins New Ownership Group of Kansas City Royals, Becomes Youngest Owner in Sports History

It hasn’t even been six months since the new face of the NFL led his team to a fourth quarter comeback victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 54. Now, Mahomes has officially been accepted in as a partial-owner of the Kansas City Royals, and in doing so he becomes youngest owner in sports history.

The Royals announced Mahomes’ partial ownership on Tuesday morning, mentioning that Mahomes “spent a lot of time in clubhouses as a kid.” He is the son of former major league pitcher, Pat Mahomes.
