College sports have been in limbo, but the Pac-12 Conference approved their plans for fall sports on Friday.
In their opening paragraph announcing the plans, the conference does acknowledge “practice policies and competition in all cases are subject to the approval of public health authorities and medical advice.”
The Pac-12 CEO Group approved a 10-game (conference-only) football schedule as well as start dates and practice policies for conference only schedules in men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s cross country.
The Pac-12 football season will start on Sept. 26, which is usually Week 4. Each team will play five home and five road games. Games that can’t be played on their scheduled day can be made up during bye weeks or on Dec. 12. The Pac-12 Championship game is scheduled for Dec. 18 or 19.
Notable dates for Oregon and Oregon State.
Ducks: Oct. 17 – at Beavs; Oct. 24 – Bye Week; Oct. 31 – Home vs. UW… Oregon plays every other game at home.
Beavers: Oct. 17 – Home vs. Ducks; Oct. 31 – Bye Week… OSU plays opening two games at home, final two games on the road.

The Other Fall Sports
For men’s and women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s cross country competition will start no earlier than the weekend of September 26. The first “permissible date” to practice for the sports listed above is August 15. “In all cases the Conference-only schedules to be developed will be designed to support health and safety, and maximize flexibility.”
