Oregon’s Ty Thompson Becomes Highest-Rated Quarterback Commit in School History

Head coach Mario Cristobal and offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead are excited about the future of the program at the quarterback position, and rightly so. There has never been a collection of this much quarterback talent on the Oregon’s roster.
In 247 Sports’ recent Composite Rankings, 2021 Oregon commit Ty Thompson has jumped into the top-40 nationally.

Ty Thompson (now a 5* on rivals) up from 59th overall to 40th
Kyron Ware-Hudson up 3 spots to 126
Terrance Ferguson up from 265 to 230

Thompson received his 5th star just days ago, and he is now officially the highest-rated quarterback prospect in program history with a score of 0.9799. His jump in the rankings helped him leap over two of Oregon’s best quarterbacks in program history, surpassing Dennis Dixons (No. 2 all-time) and Kellen Clemens (No. 1 all-time).
