Oregon Women’s Basketball Adds Grad Transfer Shannon Dufficy

The Oregon Ducks Women’s Basketball squad dipped into the transfer portal for their latest addition. Missouri forward Shannon Dufficy posted her commitment to UO on Thursday, and the Ducks confirmed the move on Friday.

Dufficy started her collegiate career at Utah State, where she spent three seasons. Then, she transferred to Missouri before the 2019-20 season but had to sit out due to NCAA rules.

The Melbourne, Australia native played in 22 games last season for the Tigers, and she started the final six contests of Missouri’s season. Dufficy averaged 10.2 points per game in her starts, including her Tigers career-high 19 points against Florida. Overall, she racked up 6.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game with Mizzou.

At Utah State, Dufficy was a two-time Mountain West All-Academic Team member. She also earned a spot on the 2019 Mountain West All-Conference Team.

Dufficy left the Aggies tied for the program’s double-double record (31), while also setting the single-season double-double record (19) in her final year at Utah State (2018-19). Finally, her 838 rebounds rank second all-time in Aggies history. She fell just short of scoring 1,000 points with USU (995).

In her college career, Dufficy has 1,137 points and 936 rebounds.

“Shannon is a great addition to our program,” Oregon head coach Kelly Graves said, via GoDucks.com. “She brings a terrific veteran presence and a wealth of experience to our roster. I love the way she approaches the game, and her versatile skillset will allow her to play multiple positions for us. We can’t wait to get her to Eugene.”
