Oregon Women beat Indiana 91-68 to advance to Sweet Sixteen!
Led by another triple-double by Sabrina Ionescu, the Oregon Ducks crushed the Indiana Hoosiers Sunday night 91-68 at Matthew Knight Arena.
The 2-seed Ducks advance to their third straight Sweet Sixteen, to be played this coming Friday and Sunday at Moda Center in Portland, where Mississippi State is the top-seed.
Oregon will face the winner of 3-seed Syracuse and 6-seed South Dakota State. That game will be played Monday in Syracuse.
Ionescu led the way for the high-flying Ducks with 29 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. It was Sabrina’s 8th triple-double of the season, setting an NCAA all-time record for most triple-doubles in a single season. It was also her NCAA record 18th career triple-double. She has now reached the Sweet Sixteen all three seasons that she’s played in Eugene.
The Ducks complimented Ionescu with a 44.8% shooting night from beyond the arc, including a 4-for-8 effort by Erin Boley who finished with 14 points. Satou Sabally added 19 points and 8 rebounds for Oregon.
