Oregon State’s Mike Hass, Ken Simonton Included on 2021 College Football Hall of Fame Ballot

Former Beaver stars Ken Simonton and Mike Hass are among 78 FBS names on the 2021 College Football Hall of Fame national ballot. The ballot began distribution on Tuesday.

The 2021 Hall of Fame class will be announced early next year, with induction on Dec. 7, 2021 in New York City. The ballots are sent to roughly 12,000 National Football Foundation members and current Hall of Famers.

As of today, Oregon State has four members in the College Football Hall of Fame: Dennis Erickson, Terry Baker, Bill Enyart and Tommy Prothro.

Ken Simonton played for Oregon State from 1998-2001. He is the school’s career rushing leader (5,044 yards). Simonton was then one of only six players in Pac-12 conference history to run for over 1,000 yards in three different seasons. He compiled 26 100-yard games, and cracked the 200 yards mark three times.

Mike Hass was a walk-on at Oregon State in 2001. He emerged as an All-America wide receiver in 2004 and 2005. Hass earned Biletnikoff Award honors after a 90-catch, 1,532-yard season in 2005. He was the first player in Pac-12 conference history to record three 1,000-yard receiving seasons.
