Oregon State Wide Receiver John Dunmore Entering The Transfer Portal

After the Las Vegas Bowl and spring ball there was a thought that John Dunmore had a chance to be a big part of the Beavers receiving core next season.

5 THOUGHTS ON OSU KICKOFF TIMES, TV CHANNELS

That will not be happening. The 6’2” wide receiver announced on Friday on his Twitter account that he will be entering the transfer portal.

Dunmore only had nine catches last season, but when he was put in a bigger role for the Las Vegas Bowl, he delivered. Dunmore had five catches for 42 yards in OSU’s domination of Florida.

After the loss of Tre’Shaun Harrison, who is now with the Tennessee Titans, and Tyjon Lindsey, now with the Seahawks, there seemed to be an opening for Dunmore in the receiving rotation at Oregon State.

Dunmore originally committed to Penn State out of Chaminade-Madonna College Prep in Florida. Dunmore played in only one game for the Nittany Lions and didn’t record any stats. He then went into the transfer portal and committed to Oregon State. He was in Corvallis for two seasons.

With Dunmore’s departure, OSU’s top receivers are Anthony Gould and Silas Bolden, with senior Jesiah Irish, freshman Zachary Card, and sophomores Trevor Pope, Jimmy Valsin III and Jeremiah Noga providing depth at the position.

Oregon State opens the season on Sun. Sept. 3rd at San Jose State, a 12:30 p.m. kickoff on CBS.
