Oregon State TE Kicked off Football Team After Racist, Homophobic Audio Surfaces
Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith announced Wednesday night redshirt freshman tight end Rocco Carley was dismissed from the Beaver’s football team.
Audio surfaced online of Carley speaking in a deep southern accent and going on a violent rant against black people, gay people and Muslims.
OSU Athletic Director Scott Barnes and Smith put out statements last night regarding the audio, Carley and his dismissal from the football team.

Carley released an apology, which included his explanation that the audio was from “three years ago” where “my friends and I were saying stupid things” and that it was “a very satire example of what we all thought would be funny”.

It’s safe to say his former Oregon State teammates would not accept his apology.
