Oregon State Releases Depth Chart Before San Jose State Game On Sunday

By 750 THE GAME STAFF,
It’s game week! All the practices, speculation, and conference realignment will be put on the back burner……… for now. As games on the field will happen.
Oregon State opens up their season with a tough road game at San Jose State. The Spartans have a game under their belt as they played USC in Week 0. USC beat San Jose State 56-28, but San Jose State showed some fight especially on the offensive side of the ball.
On Tuesday, the Beavers released their depth chart for the opening game. No surprise to see some of the decisions. DJ Uiagalelei is the starting quarterback. Reigning Pac 12 Offensive Freshman of the year, Damien Martinez, is the top running back.

One question was who would be the #3 wide receiver. The answer is Senior, Jesiah Irish. The 5’11” 174 lb. receiver out of Snoqualmie, WA only has 9 career catches in 5 seasons in Corvallis.
Defensively, the big race was at inside linebacker and replacing Omer Speights. Senior, Calvin Hart Jr, has won the job. Hart is a transfer from Illinois where he had 22 tackles last season. A very athletic player has some big shoes to fill, but the Beavers feel he can do the job.
The Beavers 16 1/2 point favorites on the road in San Jose. Oregon State is looking to put together a memorable season after winning 10 games a season ago.
