Oregon State Beavers Bolster Their Linebacker Core With Addition Of Calvin Hart Jr.

The Oregon State Beavers had arguably the best defense in the Pac 12 conference a season ago.

A lot of players from that team on the defensive side are gone.

But the Beavers added a transfer from the portal in Illinois linebacker, Calvin Hart Jr.

This will be Hart’s third school. He originally went to NC State for two seasons before transferring to Illinois. In his last two seasons at Illinois Hart had 28 tackles and a fumble return for a touchdown in the season opening game for the Illini in 2021.

The 6’1″ 230 pound linebacker should add some depth to a Beavers linebacker group which lost star linebacker Omar Speights to LSU in the transfer portal this offseason.
