Winning a road game at UConn once seemed to be an impossible task. Now, after a 98 game home winning streak, the Huskies have lost two home games in less than a month. On January 9, Baylor used a dominant fourth quarter to beat then top-ranked UConn 74-58. And Monday, the #3 Oregon Ducks dropped the Huskies 74-56
The first half saw the Ducks leading 44-31. Ruthy Hebard had 15 points. Sabrina Ionescu had a balanced attack with 6 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds by halftime.
Oregon didn’t let up in the second half and, led by their two stars, cruised to the convincing win. The Ducks were paced by Hebert’s 22 points and 12 rebounds. Ionescu finished with 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists.
Oregon is now 20-2.
