Graves Adds Pair of Talented Guards

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head women’s basketball coach Kelly Graves announced the signings of guards Sara Barhoum and Janiyah Williams to Athletics Scholarship Agreements during the fall signing period.
Barhoum (Clackamas, Ore.) is a 5-foot-10 shooting guard while Williams (Edmond, Okla.) is a 5-foot-9 combo guard. According to ESPN.com, Williams is a four-star prospect and the nation’s 53rd-ranked player and sixth-highest in the state of Oklahoma in espnW’s HoopGurlz recruiting rankings.
“This is a really good class for us,” Graves said of the signing class. “We’ve added two very talented players that will complement the pieces we already have and fit in well with our young team. They are both extremely competitive players, great students and great people that will represent our team and community well.”

Rated as the No. 4 player in the state of Oregon by Prep Girls Hoops … Played for Clackamas High School in Clackamas, Ore., winning a state title as a sophomore … Averaged 15 points per game her junior season, averaging 11.7 points on 41 percent from behind the arc over three games at the state tournament … Played club basketball for Jason Kidd Select.
Graves on Barhoum: Sara is an elite-level shooter, both from the 3-point line and in the mid-range. She is such a competitive kid who works really, really hard. Her toughness and attitude are going to be a great fit with our team, our program and the town of Eugene. We are so excited to see what she can do.
Janiyah Williams, 5-9, G, Edmond, Okla. (Edmond Memorial H.S.)
Ranked No. 53 overall in the nation in the Class of 2025 in the espnW top 100 … A four-star recruit according to ESPN … The sixth-highest ranked player in the state of Oklahoma, according to espnW … Averaged 16.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 2.1 assists a game while shooting over 50 percent from the floor as a junior … Has scored over 1,000 career points in her prep career, surpassing the milestone as a junior.
Graves on Williams: Janiyah is a playmaker, with or without the ball in her hands. She plays fast and decisive and with great quickness and feel. She has the ability to get downhill and finish at the rim, and can also step back and knock down a jumper. She’s an incredibly hard worker with a competitive drive, and we can’t wait to get her to Eugene.
