Oregon Ducks Remain No. 1 In Second Edition Of CFP Rankings

750 The Game Staff

The Oregon Ducks repeated atop the rankings Tuesday night for the second edition of the College Football Playoff.

No. 1 Oregon visits the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday night in Madison, Wisc. The game will kickoff at 4:30 p.m. on NBC.

The Big Ten put four teams in the top five of the CFP rankings with Oregon (1), Ohio State (2), Penn State (4) and Indiana (5). It is the first time in CFP history that a conference has put four teams in the top five of the rankings. Texas is the lone non-Big Ten team in the top five coming in at No. 3.

Washington State is No. 18, a three-spot jump after a win over Utah State.

Boise State is No. 13, a one-spot drop after a narrow win over Nevada despite a 209-yard rushing performance from Ashton Jeanty. However, the Broncos would be the 12-seed and in the playoff if the season ended today as the last team in by means of being the fifth highest-ranked conference champion.
