Oklahoma State Players Call for Change After Photo of Football coach Mike Gundy Surfaces in OAN Shirt

Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy found himself in hot water Monday afternoon after a photo of him wearing a T-Shirt with One America News (OAN) logo surfaced.

OAN, or OANN, touts itself as one of the “greatest supporters” of President Donald Trump.

The biggest name at Oklahoma State, stud running back Chuba Hubbard, was about as clear as can be on Twitter.

Hubbard was a finalist last season for the Doak Walker Award, which is given annually to the best running back in college football. He was also  unanimously selected as a first-team All American, and Hubbard was the Big 12’s Offensive Player of the Year. Hubbard enters the upcoming season as a Heisman Trophy candidate, and he’s considered a top draft prospect for next year’s NFL Draft.

Other Cowboys players, past and present, are not happy with Gundy and want the school to make a change.

Kyle Boone of CBS Sports also added a screenshot of comments Gundy made in April about OAN and its reporting.

Oklahoma State is scheduled to play Oregon State in Week 1, if the 2020-21 college football season starts on time.
