Kyler Murray is putting his name in the ring for an NFL career. The University of Oklahoma quarterback announced on Twitter today his decision to declare for the NFL Draft.

Murray had until midnight tonight to enter the 2019 draft. He is projected by many as a first-round NFL talent, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The 2018 Heisman Trophy winner still has 72 hours to pull his name out of the NFL draft.

The Oakland Athletics selected Murray ninth overall in the 2018 MLB Draft. The A’s met with Murray on Sunday in an attempt to convince him to commit to baseball and the Oakland franchise.

Murray has a contract with the A’s that includes a signing bonus worth $4.66 million.
