The Oregon State Beavers got some good news for their incoming recruiting class on Wednesday, the traditional National Signing Day.
Akili Arnold, a three-star athlete prospect from Mission Viejo, Calif. [HS], announced his decision to flip from his commitment from Utah State to Oregon State, joining Jonathan Smith’s efforts to rebuild the Beaver program.

Words can’t express how excited I am to announce my commitment for the next 4 years to Oregon State University. I would like to thank the coaches who helped me get to this point in my life and my parents for the sacrifices they have made on my journey. Go Beavs🧡🖤 pic.twitter.com/uvb6MPvi9N

Arnold was a dynamic offensive player in high school as evidenced by his being named the South Coast League (Calif.) Offensive Player of the Year, but will look to bolster the Beavers secondary on the defensive side of the ball.
