Nick Foles Shipped to Chicago, Minshew Mania Returns to Jacksonville

Nick Foles time in Jacksonville was short-lived to say the least and, ultimately, a disappointment.
Foles was injured in the Jaguars Week 1 loss against Kansas City, and he lost the other three games he started for Jacksonville.
The Chicago Bears reportedly wanted a veteran QB to compete with Mitchell Trubisky, and they’ve got a former Super Bowl MVP in the room now.
QB trade: Jacksonville is trading QB Nick Foles to Chicago for the Bears’ compensatory fourth-round pick, sources tell ESPN.
Bears’ coaches such as Matt Nagy have worked with Foles in past and know him well.

The trade looks like it will work out really well for both Chicago and Jacksonville. Foles knows Bears head coach Matt Nagy, and now the Jags don’t have Foles’ massive contract on the books anymore.
QB play is about talent, yeah. But it is also about fit. Relationships. Chemistry. Comfort. Nick Foles is all of that for Matt Nagy. I love the move. Now they have a real chance to make some noise!

Gardner Minshew, the now-second year quarterback from Washington State, is expected to take the reins again. With Foles off the books, the Jags can now look to upgrade especially on the offensive line, which was ranked 26th by Pro Football Focus.
