NFL Thursday Night Football Going to Amazon Exclusively Starting in 2022

Thursday Night Football games will start streaming only on Amazon Prime Video with the 2022-23 season.

The NFL announced the decision just a month after TNF was reported to go to Amazon exclusively in 2023. So, the simulcast of games on Prime Video and FOX will end after this season, and games will only be on Amazon.

Although Amazon will have the exclusive rights to TNF, the league says:

Thursday Night Football will be carried on free over-the-air television in the broadcast markets of the participating teams.

Amazon and the NFL first partnered back in 2017 as a “tri-cast” between the online platform and CBS/NBC. Then, in 2018, the dual-cast between Amazon and FOX was born.
