The Mariners hit three home runs en route to their second straight win over the Oakland A’s, 4-3. Mitch Hanniger hit a two run home run in the bottom of the 5th, to give the M’s a 4-2 lead and they never looked back. It was Hanniger’s second straight game with a home run. Tim Beckham and Daniel Vogelbach hit the other two home runs, both coming in the 2nd inning.

Starting pitcher Mike Leake had a fantastic outing, going 6 and 2/3 innings allowing only five hits and one earned run. Relief pitcher Roenis Elias came on in the 7th with the bases loaded but got out of the jam and went on to get the seven out save, at one point striking out four batters in a row.

Seattle now improves to 22-23 on the season, and up next they host the Minnesota Twins for a four game series that starts Thursday night.
