The Mariners acquired minor league infielder Daniel Castro from the Dodgers in exchange for infielder/outfielder Kristopher Negron.

The 26-year-old Castro has spent the season with Triple-A Oklahoma City, batting .241 with 17 runs scored, six doubles, a home run, 11 RBIs, and 15 stolen bases in 45 games. He will report to Triple-A Tacoma.

The 33-year-old Negron played in nine games with the Mariners this season, batting .227 (5 for 22) with three runs and one RBI. He has played parts of six big league seasons for Cincinnati, Arizona and Seattle, batting .216 batting with seven homers and 25 RBIs.
