Despite an early lead, the Mariners lost again Wednesday in Oakland 10-2 to the A’s.

Seattle drops to 39-60 on the season.

The M’s took an early 2-0 lead thanks to a pair of runs in the top of the second.  A Dylan Moore triple to right field scored Tim Beckham, and then Moore scored on a base knock by Dee Gordon.

Unfortunately the A’s tied things in the bottom half on a two-run homer by Jurrickson Profar off Mariners “opener” Eric Swanson.

Oakland added more runs against the M’s long-relief guy Tommy Milone, with Mitch Canha hitting solo homers in the fourth and sixth innings, and Craig Pinder blasting a three-run shot off Milone in the seventh to make it 7-2.

Ramon Laureano hit another homer followed by a second Profar jimmy jack to make it 10-2 home team, which stood as the final.

Seattle has another off day Thursday before returning for a weekend home series against the LA Angels at T-Mobile Park on Edgar Martinez’s baseball hall of fame induction weekend.
