Meyers Leonard signs 10-day deal with Bucks after two-year absence

Former Trail Blazers center Meyers Leonard, out of the NBA since March 2021 after uttering an anti-semitic slur on a video game livestream,is signing a 10-day contract with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Milwaukee had reportedly had Leonard in for a workout last month and, with Giannis Antetokounmpo dealing with a wrist injury, the team has a need for a big man with outside shooting ability.

Leonard, 30, played his last game in January 2021 with the Miami Heat. He received a one-week NBA suspension and a $50,000 fine for the anti-semitic slur. After the suspension, Leonard was traded to the Thunder and immediately waived.

Leonard has averaged 5.6 points and 3.9 rebounds 447 NBA games with the Trail Blazers and Heat.
