A memorial service for former Portland State legendary quarterback Chris Crawford has been scheduled for Friday, Feb. 1st in Viking Pavilion on the PSU campus, according to Ken Goe of The Oregonian.  The service is open to the public and will begin at 1pm.

Crawford passed away last Saturday at the age of 51 due to complications from leukemia.

The PSU Hall of Famer twice led the Vikings to an appearance in the Division 2 National Championship Game in 1987 and 1988.  Crawford was also a 1st-Team D2 All-American in the ’88 season.

Crawford followed his playing career as a longtime executive at NIKE.

He joined fellow PSU legend Neil Lomax and Judah Newby on 1029/750 The Game back in September, giving live updates of watching his son Carson play for UC-Davis against the Cardinal in Stanford Stadium, and reminisced on his outstanding career on the park blocks.  Listen below:
