Carmelo Anthony is bringing his talents to the Rose City.

The 10-time All-Star looks to bring a veteran presence and perimeter scoring to a team looking for a jolt after a dismal start to the season.

There is a betting line in Vegas handicapping Melo’s chances to play the entire season with the Blazers, with “Yes” being favored at -150 (Bet $150 to win $100), while “No” is an underdog at +110 (Bet $100 to win $110).

Portland has contractual leverage by signing Melo to a non-guaranteed contract, meaning they can release him at any time without significant financial consequence.  Melo had a ten-game run last season with the Houston Rockets, scoring 17 or more points in four of those games, but was unceremoniously released by the team in November and hasn’t played an NBA game since then.

What do you think, Rip City?  Will Carmelo find his fit with Dame, CJ, and the patchwork Blazers roster?  Or will his Blazers career be only a disappointing flash in the pan?  Vote below!

Will Carmelo Anthony last the whole season with the Trail Blazers?
