Lynch: ‘My Agent Has Been in Talks with Seattle’ About Potential Return to Seahawks

Did you hear that collective gasp of excitement last night? No? Well, it was the sound of Seattle Seahawks fans hoping Marshawn Lynch will actually return to the Pacific Northwest.

Lynch joined Sportscenter with Scott Van Pelt and Lynch confirmed his agent has been in talks with the Seahawks about a potential reunion (again).

When he un-retired last season, Lynch joined the Seahawks for their playoff push in Week 17 after Chris Carson and C.J. Prosise were both injured in Week 16 against Arizona. He scored four rushing touchdowns in three games, including two in the Divisional Round against Green Bay.

Beast Mode wasn’t the same guy in his three games back, but if he works out as if he plans to play the full season then Lynch should be closer to form before the 2020 season starts. Worst case scenario, the Seahawks could use him as a third-down or goal-line back. After all, his four touchdowns came from the five-yard line or closer, three came from the one-yard line.
