Longtime Blazers assistant David Vanterpool leaving to become associate head coach of the Timberwolves
The Trail Blazers offseason took a hit Thursday as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported longtime Trail Blazers assistant coach David Vanterpool is leaving Portland to become associate head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Vanterpool had spent the last seven seasons in Portland and played a key role in developing Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.
