This tie stings. Portland was up for most of the match. But you have to give Austin credit. A goal late in the match in stoppage time give them a tie in Portland.

The scoring started in the first half on a sweet header by Dario Zupuric

It was Zuparic’s first goal for the Timbers since the bubble back in 2020.

After Austin tied it up. It was a goal by Claudio Bravo from outside of the box to get the Timbers a 2-1 lead in the second half.

With the tie, the Timbers their record is now 3-5-3. The tie costs them 2 points. But Portland played well which has been a problem so far early in this season. Next up for the Timbers is a match against Salt Lake on Wednesday from Providence Park.
