The Arizona Cardinals are hiring USC offensive coordinator and former Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury as their new head coach, per reports.

Kingsbury had just arrived in LA after being fired by Texas Tech after six seasons at his alma mater.

Kingsbury was named OC/QBs coach at USC back on December 5th.  He will not coach in a game for the Trojans, after all.

Kingsbury replaces Steve Wilkes, who was fired by the Cardinals after one season.  Kingsbury takes over a Cardinals team that has the NFL’s number-one overall pick in the upcoming 2019 Draft, as well as a young quarterback talent in former UCLA star Josh Rosen.
