Kingsley Suamataia Commits to Oregon, Becomes 2nd Highest-Rated OL Recruit in Program History

Kingsley Suamataia is the latest big time offensive lineman recruit landed by Mario Cristobal and his staff. Suamataia is the top high school recruit out of the state of Utah, and rated as a top-10 offensive lineman in the nation by 247Sports. He is the nation’s No. 59 overall prospect in the 2021 class, which makes him the second highest-rated offensive lineman commit in program history, behind Penei Sewell.

247Sports’ Matt Prehm was on the Bald Faced Truth this week with John Canzano. Prehm said that the expectation within the program is that Suamataia would be a rotational player at worst and a starter at best, coming in as a true freshman.
The commitment helped Oregon’s 2021 recuiting class climb from No. 5 nationally to No. 3, surpassing Clemson and LSU.
