Nurkic had to appear in 70 games in order to be eligible for the bonus. He appeared in 72 games before suffering compound fractures to the tibia and fibula on his lower left leg.
Nurkic’s season ended with him posting per game averages of 15.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 blocks.
The Blazers beat Memphis on Wednesday to earn their fiftieth win of the season. At 50-28, the Blazers visit the Denver Nuggets on Friday night (7:30pm ESPN), host Denver on Sunday, then visit the Lakers and host the Sacramento Kings to finish the regular season. Portland will likely be the 4-seed in the Western Conference hosting the 5-seed Utah Jazz in a first-round playoff series, but there remains a chance at the 3-seed or even the 2-seed depending on how things go this weekend with the Nugs.
