Jordan Kent Named Blazers TV Play-by-Play Broadcaster

Jordan Kent will continue to call play-by-play of Portland Trail Blazer Basketball on TV, the team announced today.

Kent filled in for Kevin Calabro during the NBA restart when the broadcasting vet stepped away last July.

The former Oregon three-sport star was great during the Orlando bubble, and the team rewarded him with the full time gig.

Kent enters his fifth year with the Blazers broadcasting team — he’s hosted the pregame, halftime, postgame show and the fill-in play-by-play work.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to step into the Television Play-by-Play role,” Kent said in the Blazers press release. “I have some pretty big shoes to fill, following in the footsteps of the great Kevin Calabro, but I’m up for the challenge and feel great support from the entire broadcast team and all of Rip City.”

If you didn’t remember, Kent was a teammate of ours once upon a time, so we want to send our support to him as well.

Good luck, Jordan!
