Jordan Howard Scores 3 TDs, Eagles D Forces Late Interception to Beat Packers
The Philadelphia Eagles played a questionable game at times throughout Thursday Night Football, including an unexpected and unnecessary two-point conversion attempt.
The decimated Eagles defense saved the day late against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers at Lambeau Field.
Carson Wentz came into Thursday with a career record of 3-0 on Thursday Night Football, he is now 4-0 on Thursday nights.
Jordan Howard was the offensive star for Philly. The former Chicago Bear tortured the Packers with 115 yards from scrimmage and three total touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving).
The Eagles defense has been injured in several areas. Late in the fourth quarter, the Eagles lost Avonte Maddox.
Green Bay needed a touchdown and extra point to send the game to overtime. Maddox was replaced with Craig James, no not the former ESPN analyst.
James was just promoted from the practice squad to the active roster on Tuesday.
James helped converge on Rodgers’ 2nd and goal throw to Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The ball bounced off James and Valdes-Scantling and landed in the hands of Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham. Ball Game.
